Studying in Nîmes

Located in the South of France, and at the heart of a city with an outstanding historical heritage, the University of Nîmes offers on its four campuses an ideal setting to carry out your studies.

You will be able to access one of its 48 courses: A Bachelor’s degree (3 years), Master’s degree (5 years) and PhD (8 years) in various fields: law, economic and social administration, humanities, foreign languages, history, technical sciences of physical and sports activities, psychology, sciences, arts, design…

The International Office (international @ unimes.fr) offers a personalised support:

  • A student guide to help you in all your procedures.
  • A welcome week for ERASMUS or international students including the administrative registration at the university, a tour of the Vauban campus and cultural visits of the Gard and regional heritage.
  • A buddy program that allows you to be welcomed and supported by a local student to facilitate cultural and linguistic exchanges.
  • French classes are offered throughout the year as well as a student mentoring for a better educational follow-up.
  • The Erasmus Days, a European event that celebrates the ERASMUS+ programme and the international mobility in which UNÎMES participates every year. An official reception ceremony for international students, a forum on international mobility and various activities are on the programme.
