This course aims at providing students with advanced skills in applied arts by means of a wide-reaching and open approach.
On the basis of progressive specialisation, the course develops strong synergy between habitually partitioned neighbouring subject areas (plastic arts, cultural mediation and communication).
The challenge for this course is that of transforming theory into practice.
This diploma offers a blend between arts and sciences, theory and practical, training and professional production and aims to provide students with the conceptual and practical tools required to fully understand the applied arts and play an active role in their evolution.
Three types of orientation can be envisaged:
A study programme at the intersection of multiple disciplines.
The courses are designed on the basis of a core curriculum of fundamental subjects (editorial methods & communication, history of art, aesthetics, law, Modern languages, I.T., etc.), provides for a multiple skills tuition enhanced by training in specific disciplines (see training plan opposite).
The tuition is semester based, in line with European standards, offering a rich combination of theory and practical work, lectures and tutorials.
Professionals are very much part of the tuition programme and they intervene on several levels:
The use of computer and multimedia tools (information,
communication, design) is of critical importance in the modern world
and very much part of the tuition set up.
